The AIPnD Association (AIPnD) is a non-profit scientific, cultural, and professional organization.Founded in 1979, it ranks among the world’s leading organizations in its field and counts members from approximately 1,000 entities, including: companies, institutes, research centers, organizations, schools, universities, professional firms, manufacturers and distributors of NDT instrumentation and products, and NDT service companies.

AIPnD stands for Associazione Italiana Prove Non Distruttive (Italian Association for Non-Destructive Testing).

AIPnD is headquartered in Brescia. The Association’s objectives are:

• to promote scientific and technical knowledge and the technological development of non-destructive testing through information and education;
• to enhance the professional activities of those working in the sector;
• to foster association and cultural life to encourage the exchange of ideas, experiences, and knowledge among members.

The Association oversees the preparation of educational and informational materials; in particular, “Il Giornale delle Prove non Distruttive” (The Journal of Non-Destructive Testing), conference proceedings, congress proceedings, symposium proceedings, educational workbooks, and monographs. It also oversees the dissemination in Italy of educational and scientific materials from sister associations abroad.

The Association promotes and organizes international conferences in Italy and abroad; conferences, congresses, seminars, and study days for individual sectors or specific topics at research centers, universities, and institutions.
