The China Association for Instrumental Analysis(CAIA) is a professional social organization voluntarily formed by units and organizations engaged in analytical testing and related businesses nationwide. The association’s member units include the country’s major analytical testing units, domestic analytical testing instrument enterprises, and media related to analytical testing, initially forming an analytical testing network covering the whole country.
The Association’s primary activities include:
(1) hosting the Beijing Conference on Analytical Science and Instrumentation (BCEIA);
(2) organizing academic exchanges;
(3) evaluating scientific and technological achievements in analytical science and instrumentation;
(4) organizing the evaluation of the China Association for Analytical Science and Instrumentation (CAIA) Science and Technology Awards, which include two sub-awards: the Analytical Science Award (formerly known as the CAIA Award) and the Analytical Instrumentation Innovation Award (formerly known as the BCEIA Gold Award);
(5) Research and development of standards;
(6) Technical competency training for analytical testing personnel (NTC);
(7) International exchange and cooperation;
(8) Undertaking relevant national research projects;
(9) Publishing academic journals and related books.
